Little Lamb Utilizes a Comprehensive Curriculum that targets the core academic subjects as students move from level to level. An LLA graduate who goes through our preschool and pre-k program is thoroughly prepared for Kindergarten.
LLA's Explorers and Scholars groups learn about the foundations of science- What is science? What do scientists actually do? They'll learn about science basics like seasons, weather, animals, and plants.
Step by Step Leveling
Children at Little Lamb Academy are taught through a tiered and personalized curriculum. Through a dynamic system of assessments, children progress based on performance and readiness, not just their age.
LEVEL 0 (Preschool)
Baby Lamb
Starting at 2.5y, the Baby Lamb group is a child's first introduction to the wonderful world of learning. Focusing on listening, coordination, tactile development, and social skills, Baby Lamb prepares children to respond to and participate in the learning environment.
LEVEL 2 (Pre-S/Pre-K)
Explorers
Children who pass level 1 testing enter level 2 (about 3.5y-4.5y. Level 2 students extend phonics to blends, cvc words, and sentences. They learn to add, write neatly, and develop their science and social studies skills through exploring their world.
LEVEL 1 (Preschool)
Foundations
Between 3y-4y is our foundations. Children practice the letters, numbers, shapes, colors, tracing, letter-writing, crafts, and the other foundational preschool skills. Level 1 children learn about animals and letter sounds.
LEVEL 3 (Pre-K)
Scholars
Level 3 students demonstrate their Kindergarten readiness, developing their reading, critical thinking, and arithmetic skills. Level 3 students learn about 3-D shapes, skip counting, coins, maps, globes, nutrition, and more advanced skills in prep for Kindergarten.

Basic Ascertainment Method & CPT
Little Lamb approaches education using the Basic Ascertainment Method, a methodology developed by Light of Faith Academy.

We use the CPT assessment system to find the individual learning types of each student and form a cognitive personality profile.

Utilizing a carefully-constructed blend of instructional techniques and practices, Little Lamb provides a strong educational foundation while providing a full range of enrichment programs to foster complete development in children.
COGAT & Standardized Assessment Prep
The CogAT, an internationally-recognized assessment which assesses a child’s reasoning and problem-solving abilities is used to determine a child’s placement into gifted programs. Our CogAT prep program cultivates the skills used in all nine domains of the assessment.
